If you want to use it to buy something you stick it into a special machine. The machine reads the information on the card. The store asks the bank if you have enough money in your bank account. If you do the payment is approved. The money magically moves from your bank account to the store account. To get this card you need to have a bank account. Your parents can take you to the bank to fill out the special forms. The bank will give you a special account number and that is where your money goes. The debit card is plastic and can be carried in your wallet. Remember you can only spend the money you have in that account. Spend it wisely. |
